How to Change Language of Feed for News and Interests in Windows 10

News and interests on the taskbar provides easy access to information thats important to you, without the distraction of switching between apps, websites, and other devices. View your locations current weather conditions directly on your taskbar and hover over the icon to see concise, scannable information from sports and stocks to local news and breaking headlines.

The information shown in news and interests is personalized for individual users. Users can customize the content they see, enabling scenarios like the following:

    • Keep an eye on nearby weather and traffic that may impact a commute.
To change the location shown for weather and traffic updates, select More options () on the Weather or Traffic card, and select Edit Location.
    • Follow a topic related to professional or personal interests.
Follow a specific topic related to an industry, job role, or subject to learn more about. To follow a specific topic, select Manage Interests and select or search for a topic.
    • Get personalized updates on stocks.
Keep an eye on major market indicators, see top gainers or losers, or create a watch list of stocks to see updates throughout the day.
    • Share, save or see more stories.
Select More options () on headlines and articles in news and interests on the taskbar to share them with others or save them to read later. Users can also request to see more or fewer stories like the ones shown.

In addition, the appearance of news and interests on the taskbar can be customized. Users can choose to right click or long press a blank space on the taskbar and select News and interests to customize. They can choose Show icon and text or, to save taskbar space, select Show icon only. Users can also select Turn off to unpin news and interests.

You can change the language of your feed in News and Interests to any supported language you want.

This tutorial will show you how to change the language and content of your feed in news and interests for your account in Windows 10.

This will apply whether you are signed in to Windows 10 with a local account or a Microsoft account.

You are not required to be signed in to News and Interests with a Microsoft account.

    Here's How:

1 Click/tap on the News and Interests icon on the taskbar.

2 Click/tap on the Settings (3 dots) button at the top right corner of News and Interests, and click/tap on Language and content. (see screenshot below)

If the Language and content setting is missing, then you can open the link directly in Microsoft Edge instead.

3 On the Experience Settings > Language & content settings page in Microsoft Edge, select the language (ex: "United States (English)") you want to use in the Language & content menu. (see screenshot below)

This link must be opened in Microsoft Edge. It will not work in any other web browser.

    4 Close Microsoft Edge.

5 Click/tap on the News and Interests icon on the taskbar, and click/tap on the Refresh feed button to apply the language change. (see screenshot below)

Sorry for posting this here, please delete if wrong. My computer seems messed up on the news and interest feed with some other type of language.

Every other setting shows English, such as under keyboard region. When I follow the tutorials on changing the language my feed doesn't give me an option to click language and content.

It does show it's set correctly.

Just to verify, did you refresh News and Interests at step 5 to apply the change?

Since this has just happened, you could try doing a system restore using a restore point dated when it was working properly.

    Same problem with mine

    Hey everyone.

Is there a fix to this? I am having the same exact problem as eldinv. I thought my 3 yo accidentally changed the settings, but like eldinv says, everything else is in English, except for this. It just started the other day. Please let me know if there is a way to fix this!

    Thanks!
